Peripheral turbine pumps have been used extensively for hundreds of years where clean water is required to be moved at good pressure. They consist of a turbine style brass impeller operating with a close tolerance between the two cast iron pump faces. Peripheral turbine pumps are used for water transfer, booster pumps in a fire fighting system and cooling tower applications.
